Broughton Scouts is a vibrant local Group comprising Beavers (6–8 yrs), Cubs (8–11 yrs) and Scouts (11–14 yrs).
All sections enjoy a range of activities including camps, sports, craftwork and much more. The emphasis throughout is on learning in a fun environment.
They meet locally at Greenside Parish Church and, in part, at St Mary’s RC Primary School. They’re a well-established Group with a long history, having celebrated their centenary in 2019.
The operation of Broughton Scouts relies on adult leaders. ‘We have a strong team,’ David Reid tells us, ‘but for the Beaver section in particular we are sorely in need of a new leadership.
‘Becoming an adult leader will provide the opportunity to meet new friends, to build memories and to help young people prepare to meet life’s challenges.’
