Leith Festival is one of the oldest in Edinburgh.
It dates back to 1907 when a Badge Day was first held to raise funds for Leith Hospital.
Saturday’s Gala enjoyed bright sunshine, and gusty conditions which ensured owners of hats and stall pagodas never knew quite what to expect next.
The event included wide open spaces …
food shared with friends …
pals you wished you hadn't let talk you into this …
ghostly perils survived …
close encounters of the tall kind …
grown-ups having way too much fun …
narrow scrapes …
blue raptures …
and the simple science of splurge.
Roll on Gala Day 2025!
