An advertisement in the Scotsman for Union Gallery's McGuire exhibition earlier this month (Breaking news 1.9.10) reduced hardened staff at the national newspaper to girlish blushes and the interpolation of asterisks.
They toned down the name of one work to: 'The Relaxing Pleasure of Sh***ing in the Woods'.
Broad-minded Broughtonians are nowhere near so easily shocked. The first painting to sell at the exhibition was one charmingly entitled Acrobatic Pissing Dog in the Spotlight.
