Service personnel, past and present, members of the Royal British Legion, their families and friends joined scouts and locals in a Remembrance Sunday service at Broughton St Mary’s Parish Church earlier today.
As the service continued within, a knot of non-worshippers, observers, nearby residents and police escort gathered in Bellevue Crescent on a beautiful, crisp autumn morning.
Some discussions outside were solemn. Others less so.
There was attention to detail from top ...
... to bottom.
A lament was played as part of the service.
Afterwards, the parade assembled and came to attention ...
and at last marched off towards Rodney Street.
