A second public consultation period has opened anent the controversial Leith Biomass Plant, meaning concerned citizens have until 17 June to raise new objections to the proposal.
As previously reported here, both local community councils have come out against the plans, but at the latest NTBCC meeting on 9 May fresh grounds for opposition were suggested: the visual impact of the smoke plume above the plant, and of aviation warning lights attached to the chimney.
Concerns were again voiced about airborne pollution being driven downward and cityward by haar.
