Whisky Kiss are a Broughton-based souped-up ceilidh band who've been enjoying growing success at home and abroad for the last four years.
Spurtle's haphazardly followed their progress via various guest blogs from as far afield as T in the Park, Oman, Shanghai, Prince William's birthday bash outside Holyrood, and West Register Street.
And this morning we're pleased to learn that they've launched their debut single video – 'Jocks Revenge (Hold)' – which you can view by following the link here.
Whisky Kiss take traditional folk tunes, throw them into the Barony Place Small Hadron Collider with pop tunes, a live DJ, champion Highland dancers and urban breakdancers, and then unleash the result on an unsuspecting public.
Aside from sharing subatomic mashed-up folk physics with a wider audience, the idea of the 4-minute 44-second video was to profile principal band members in a series of less than comprehensive 15-second cameos.
Twelve of them therefore visited their home cities/towns/villages/hamlets as part of an 'epic' musical road trip around Scotland. How they all crammed into that Freelander – given that on previous excursions they have struggled to squeeze into a stretch limo – is anybody's guess.
Watch out for the dizzying Glass House roof terrace at Greenside, the precipitous Mansfield Traquair Centre, views vaguely towards Broughton from Arthur's Seat, and the banks and braes of bonnie North West Circus Place.
