Curiouser and Lifestory have teamed up to create and sell these in red and green. All profits go to local mental-health charity the Stafford Centre. £6.95 well spent.
The Stafford Centre, on Broughton Street, is looking for two new volunteers in its work with people living in the Edinburgh area who experience mental-health difficulties.
Managed by Support in Mind Scotland, the aim of this local resource is to help people manage their mental health, gain greater self-confidence and become more integrated within the community.
There are two roles needing filled.
Acclaimed artist Victoria Crowe was at St Andrew’s and St George’s West Church this morning to raise awareness of the forthcoming Sale of Pictures and Scottish Books there later this month.
Crowe has donated two paintings for the sale: ‘Turn of the Season’ (which she is pictured holding, below) and ‘Large Tree Group’ (even further below, held by an assistant).
Broughton Street’s Stafford Centre has for over 30 years helped people experiencing mental health difficulties to build self-confidence and integrate with the community. Managed by Support in Mind Scotland, it’s a resource for anyone living in the Edinburgh area.
As it prepares to step up its activities over the next fortnight, the Stafford Centre now has two volunteer roles to fill. Local Spurtle readers could be an ideal fit.
